About Us

Delaware Elder Law Center team

W. Wade W. Scott

Attorney

I started the Delaware Elder Law Center to provide legal services to seniors and their adult children to help them navigate life’s challenges as they grow older.  Managing the care of a parent or disabled loved one is stressful.  Reaching out for help from an attorney magnifies this stress.  It is not fun.  We understand this.  This is about you, not us. Our process is designed to provide a positive experience for your family in trying times.  We view working with you as developing an enduring relationship, not as a temporary transaction.  We will be here whenever you need us.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Anne, our son Chardy, his wife, Brit, our grand-daughter Parker Rose and our son Read.  I always try to stay active by playing paddle ball, tennis and going to the gym.  Anne and I also love spending time with our two dogs, Augusta (Gussie) and Millicent (Millie), who are our “helpers” in the office.

Allysyn Bolduc

Paralegal & Certified Medicaid Planner

I have been with the DELC team since 2012 and I am a Certified Medicaid Paralegal.

I love assisting individuals and families through the difficult and very complicated process of Long-Term Care Medicaid applications. Asset protection and the vigorous process of long-term care Medicaid are my forte.

I attended Wesley College for my BS in elementary education and attended Widener Law School’s Paralegal certificate program. At Delaware Technical College I received my Associates in Hotel/Restaurant Management and Marketing.  Additionally, I am a Dale Carnegie leadership graduate and I formerly held a Life/Health Insurance license and Series 6, 63 and 65 as a Recruiter and Financial Planner.

In my free time, I am at the beach or traveling with my son Jacksyn.

Carly Buckley

Trusts & Estates Paralegal

I joined the DELC team in July 2020 as the Marketing and Scheduling Coordinator, and soon started learning everything I could about estate planning and administration. In addition to the training and education Wade provides, I study at Widener University’s Delaware Law School. My goal is to provide families with the same service I would want my wonderful parents to receive, and I take great pride in the estate planning documents our office creates.

In my free time, I am a hobby artist working with clay and paint. I also volunteer in the community and serve as a board member for several fantastic organizations in Delaware.

Korey Halsch

Medicaid Assistant

I joined the DELC team in March 2022 and bring years of personal experience in the elder care world after caring for my own parents with my sister. My background is in Japanese language, sales & marketing, with an interest in technology.

I have recently relocated to Delaware from Hawaii and look forward to new adventures. My daughter now lives in Atlanta and we talk weekly (which, sadly, is something I didn’t do with my parents).  I love to walk, swim, kayak, canoe and generally spend time outdoors. I look forward to supporting this wonderful group, and helping people get through difficult times with the compassion and support that is needed.

Sandy deFague

Communications Specialist

I joined the DELC team in July 2023. My background has been working with patients in the medical field.  I love everything DELC does and plan to learn all of the ins and outs of both Long-Term Care Medicaid as well as Estate Planning to be able to contribute in any way possible.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband JP, and 2 Shiba Inus, Loki and Luna.  I am also learning to crochet this year and work with my crochet group to make blankets and other items to donate to local senior centers.

Colleen Streeper

Colleen Streeper

Office Manager

I’m excited to be the newest member of DELC and to dive into the world of elder care and estate planning. This work is especially meaningful to me after watching my mom care for her aging parents—and seeing the difference one compassionate Medicaid expert made in her journey. I’ve also seen the value of this work through my lifelong friend Allysyn, and when she mentioned DELC needed someone, I knew I wanted to be part of this team.

Before DELC, I spent 11 years in personal and business tax preparation, which began when I stepped in as the bookkeeper for my then-husband’s IT consulting business. A tax pro complimented my records and encouraged me to pursue tax prep—and I never looked back. Over the past 15 years, I’ve worked in commercial HVAC, handling sales coordination and accounting, and most recently managed payroll for a manufacturing company with 450 employees. Each role taught me something new and helped shape the skills I bring today.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my three (now grown) kids. We’re a game-playing family—board games, video games, puzzles, cards, you name it. I also enjoy music, reading, gardening, cooking, and catching up with friends over dinner.

Augusta & Millicent (2 cute dogs)
Augusta & Millicent

Augusta (“Gussie”), a mix of Cairn Terrier and Shih Tzu, was rescued from a no kill shelter in Pennsylvania.  Millicent (“Millie”), a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, is the baby and has learned the ropes from Gussie.  They come to work on most days to meet and greet guests and clients. When the door bell rings, they get excited and can’t wait to meet the people coming in the door.

Gussie seems to sense when someone is under stress or upset. She hops right up on the couch to comfort them and to get a belly rub! Millie is just happy go lucky, loves everyone and wants them to love her back ♥♥
